Why do you feel called to the Priesthood?
God has placed in my heart a strong desire to serve others. I can’t think of a better way then to bring Him to His people through the Sacraments. I also have a passion for learning and teaching our faith to anyone who would hear. I was in the seminary before and left because it was not right for me at the time. Ever since, I have had a persisting thought about the priesthood and returning to the seminary. They say God’s call is a constant in our lives and I would agree.
What advice would you give to a man considering the Priesthood?
You cannot discern alone. Talk with your pastor, a spiritual director, the vocations director, and Jesus in the Eucharist. Also, saying “yes” to attending a seminary is not the same as getting ordained. The seminary is a place where you can more intentionally discern God’s calling for your life.
